A noble plant that is worthwhile both for ornamental horticulture and for high-quality resin products. The Swag leaf variant with an exceptionally beautiful appearance is a work of art, where the plants are the artists and their dyed leaves offer unique moments. You stop to look at the leaves; the edge of the blade is cut, called scalloped, without teeth or serrations. Like a tropical plant, the appearance of an Opal is hand-shaped, with small fingers that grow above the leaf and show the leaves like an open hand. The toes are initially seen in groups of three and, in older plants are usually five to sometimes seven toes.  Remains mostly green, a green dark with purple veins and stems.  The growth is low and bushy, with notable resistance. Opal is resistant to powdery mildew and mites. The Opal flowers deserve their name, they are red and have an aroma similar to a liquor. Resin production is optimal for making good hashish. The flowers are so abundant that the resin of an Opal produces a malleable mass that resembles black Afghan hashish.  Cuttings root in three to five days, even without rooting hormones. Opal was selected from a colourful violet for best flowers. The best violets, Swag Afghani and Swag Hindu were selected to obtain an optimal Opal.
